Matthew Cossens is an energetic Sales leader with over 15+ years of experience working with both large and boutique recruitment firms.

His success to date is due to his ability to lead from the front and engage, influence, and coach a team towards a shared vision and goals, through a collaborative approach and open communication style.

This has helped Matt build award-winning Recruitment Companies and have personal achievements including Seek SARA (Finalist) Recruitment Leader of the Year and winning Recruitment International’s Recruiter of the Year.

He joined Technology People in 2022 as the Chief Executive Officer to work with an amazing group of people and to drive the next stage of growth for our individual team members, business, and ultimately the clients we support.

He believes in the power of relationships, the value of becoming an expert in your field, and that mindset, motivation and execution are the keys to success.

Matt is passionate about the results and personal growth of his team, clients, and individuals in his network.

In addition to his role with Technology People, Matt is a speaker, coach and mentor across Sales, Recruitment, Leadership and High Performance. He has had the privilege to run seminars for the RCSA in Australia and Employment & Recruitment Federation in Ireland and to coach/mentor elite performers across the Australian Recruitment landscape.

Outside of work he is supported by his wife (Simone) and kept on his toes by his two beautiful daughters (Kyrah and Mirelle) and Dogs (Teddy and Snoop).

Icebreaker – Matt has high expectations in all areas of his life, he is goal-driven and loves to push outside his comfort zone. This has seen him complete an Ultra Marathon, multiple Oxfam 100km events, start a blog and side business, and even compete in the MMA cage! He is a passionate sports fan (all sports) who can now proudly say he is a Melbourne Demons fan, and closely follows both the NBA, UFC and boxing.
