This week has been a very special one for our team at Technology People Group where we have engaged in a number of activities celebrating NAIDOC week.
Earlier this week we highlighted the wonderful contribution by Faith McLeod. Faith is an incredible artist who is so multi-talented. The wonderful illustrations below, show the depth of talent that Faith possesses. Faith is also the mother of one of our team which makes all her work that a little more special and fulfilling for us all.
Our team also wanted to make a significant contribution to a wonderful organisation called Yalari Limited.
This amazing organization assists Indigenous Children to receive a quality education, to dream BIG and achieve! Yalari is a not-for-profit organisation offering secondary education scholarships at leading Australian boarding schools for Indigenous children from regional, rural and remote communities.
To represent the key message from Yalari;
‘We believe education is the key to generational change and a brighter future for Indigenous Australians and for our nation as a whole. We are deeply committed to the ongoing success of our national program of scholarships, student support and post-school opportunities.’
Our team raised over $2,600 in support of Yalari’s aspirations. It has been a rewarding experience learning about our First Nations’ People and we look to embrace this and all our cultural initiatives regularly!
